Black Knight: How you do Shalon, How has life been treating you?

Shalon Delgado: Black Knight, i am doing Great, Energized and ready for Action!, Life always has its up’s and Down’s, but there is always going to be a level point and so i can say that life is good.

Black Knight: So how long have you been involved with Modeling?

Shalon Delgado: I have been involved with Modeling since Middle School, so that would be a Very long time. I feel that everything you do helps inprove you a little more and so i can honestly say, that i am always learning.

Black Knight: Is modeling the career you grew wanting to be involved in or did you just kinda bloom into that role like a flowers does? Naturally

Shalon Delgado: I did want to be a Model, i used to see my mom’s modeling pictures on the wall and of course i wanted to be like her. i can say that i went through a period where i felt it wasnt going to be for me, but after taking a break i realized that i was happier doing just that, Modeling, and that is why i stive so hard to get it right.

Black Knight: Like myself, You are also a Ex soldier in the Armed Forces, Does your time served help you in anyway in your modeling?

Shalon Delgado: Honestly, no, me being in the Navy was an adventure for me…. I always love new adventures, but it did not help me in my Modeling career, i was already focused on my goals before i joined, and when i left, i put them into action.

Black Knight: You also are involved in construction, which blows many guys minds when they find out a woman as Gorgeous as you is not scared to get their hands dirty. You run your own modeling School and you are a mother. How does a woman who were so many hats find time to handle it all and remain ahead of the rest of the playing field.

Shalon Delgado: Well….. i was raised out in the country, so getting my hands, feet, clothes, hair dirty, is part of life, as long as i am able to clean up afterwards then im down to get stuff done.. i tend to jump in head first to make sure things get done right, or shall i say, the way i expect it to be done, and if that means that i have to learn something new, well then i am going to learn it:)
The Modeling school, i do to ensure that these young people dont decide to choose the wrong path, and to give them knowledge before they are put on a job. I think its important to learn from someone who has been there and done it.
And of course Motherhood, is always a blessing and a challenge at the same time, but i ask God to get me through and my children support what i do, and thats what matters.

Black Knight: Tell us a little more about “The Shalon Delgado School of Modeling”

Shalon Delgado: Well the Modeling school is both curriculum based and hands on , as well as real job training, i have several Great Industry partners who help me with this process from photographers, to hair and make-up to Acting coaching… yes, i could teach them these things by myself, but i recognize my weak points and know who i would trust to help them learn these things better. I do teach them the majority of the classes and the on the job training as well asgetting them work. I also have a mentor/management program where the people pay a monthly fee and its sort of like one on one training, and they have access to the classes as well as getting bookings from me for jobs to build up their resume enough to strike out on their own.

Black Knight: Now, When you walk into the room, most conversation and movements go on pause. Not only because of your incredible look and body but also your hair.. How long is your hair, and how do you ever deal with all of it on a day to day basis…or do you credit someone else with that responsibility.

Shalon Delgado: lol.. my hair is long, yes, but i did cut it and layer it within the last year or so. Actually, its not hard for me to manage, i have been doing it all of my life, i just wash it like everyone else and condition it heavily and brush it and go..lol its not really that much to handle for me

Black Knight: You have many photo shoots, Videos, Live Guest appearances under your belt as a model, what exactly brings you the most joy in your field

Shalon Delgado: Being on set, making something from scratch that i know is going to blow peoples minds brings me the most joy out of a days work. I love all of the things i am involved with, or i wouldnt be doing them, You have choices in your life for a reason and i tend to try to make the choices that will bring me the most joy.

Black Knight: Describe the perfect Photo shoot for Shalon Delgado

Shalon Delgado: The Perfect photoshoot is on a Sunny day, not too hot, and definatly not cold, Hair stylists, Make-up artist, Wardrobe provided, and after all of that is done i am in the mood to make love to the camera. Its like a full pamper session before you go to work, and you feel so good after all of that is done that your shots come out 100% better.

Black Knight: Now I know that the Queen Shalon has many peasants bowing to her feet…lol… What is Shalon’s type of man.

Shalon Delgado: My type of man is one who supports my career, who has no drama to interfere or stress me out, who lets me be me and is always happy to see me, and never judgmental..

Black Knight: If I was your neighbor, on a late Friday night which would I hear through the cheap walls, Smooth R&B Music and quiet oooo’s or Loud screams and spanks me’s ?

Shalon Delgado: None….lol I would probably be working….lol

Black Knight: Speaking of Music, Who are some of the Artist you are currently listening to, and what is your fav style of music.

Shalon Delgado: I listen to everyone and anything, i always support the local scene, i feel it is needed and would hope that the local scene would support me too. but the type of music ranges so greatly for me, it all depends on my mood. Heavy Metal – to classic rock, from Oldies – Blues, from Classical and Jazz to R& B and even Hardcore Rap. so i can not put my preference into a specific category.

Black Knight: Do you find the camera and various photo shoots are a place for you to release inner inhibitions? and please explain your process for getting ready to get into character.

Shalon Delgado: Yes, i do, it is like coming out of a cooped up office onto the white sands of a beach with a soft breeze. I always feel relieved from all of my stresses when i am on a shoot. Getting ready for a shoot for me is easy, i just smile and tell myself that its another great day of doing what i want to do and that’s it. I dont get nervous anymore because i am only human and i know its going to turn out great.

Black Knight: Who is Shalon when not on the job? or jobs…lol

Shalon Delgado: I am the most laid back chilled out West Coast girl you can know.

Black Knight: What can we expect to see from you in the future?

Shalon Delgado:You can expect great things from me in the future, lots of films and new shots will be coming your way soon!

Black Knight: What Advice for success do you have for any young models and anyone in the entertainment bizz thats reading:

Shalon Delgado: Stay focused on your goals and work hard to get there, dont expect anyone to hand this to you on a platter, its something that needs to be earned and worked for, that’s the only way you will be able to appreciate it.
