DJ Ames: The main advantage is that you get double exposure. So even though im in the UK im known in the US so its double promo for your money.
Black Knight: Alot of people tend to just Rep were there from and only lend a hand to those close to them but, you work with artist from all over the world, why do you feel that is so important, and how have you become so world wide known?
DJ Ames: When I first started out I was only working with the UK but when you start getting more involved you really see how many talented artists there are out there and its hard to ignore good music no matter where your from. And id say because worked with artists allover the world that has defiantly helped me become known worldwide.
Black Knight: In 2008 you were nominated for an award at the Southern Entertainment Awards (SEA’s) were usually all the nominations are from the US, how did you feel when reaching this accomplishment in your career?
DJ Ames: Its always good to win awards and get recognition for the work and effort that you put in.
Black Knight: Being a DJ from the UK, how has US Hip-Hop affected the culture were your from?
DJ Ames: US Hip Hop is still a major factor in the UK and always has been, id say it was at its strongest In the older Def Jam days when LL etc where on the label but eversince the digital age kicked in the market has gone very commercial, but there is still a very strong hip hop presence.
Black Knight: Okay lets talk about some music, who are your top 5 MC’s ever and who are some of the new artist you really feeling now?
DJ Ames: My Top 5??? …Errr gotta be DMX,LL COOL J,2PAC,ICE CUBE,DR DRE. And right now im feeling a lot of artists so couldn’t really give you any names.
Black Knight: How do you feel about the current sound and movement of Hip-Hop?
DJ Ames: I think its good, its always been the same its just changed with the times but what some people do class as hip hop is defiantly questionable at times.
